Educational project

The UITC seeks complementarity of different knowledge (local, traditional and scientific) and the combination of academic practice with social practice in order to produce new knowledge for the future. Rethinking how to organize ideas is fundamental to the university to change the operating mode of research, by incorporating the methods of networking.

The UITC makes available to citizens experiences, teaching methods, learning resources, collective intelligence and exchanges under the following principles: recognizing the experience gained in communication, cooperation, empathy, multiculturalism, solidarity , training, service, dissemination of knowledge, self-esteem, creativity, imagination and capacity building to enhance memory and promote an inclusive concept of social leadership, engaged and participatory.

Our educational project seeks to enhance the action of social stakeholders and citizens belonging to different cultures and communities around the world, in addition to general scientific knowledge.

The UITC train citizens-people/people-citizens through collective deliberation facing reality, allowing the passage from expression of feelings / emotions to a process of joint actions based on experience.

In this process, the "reflection in action" is embodied in an interpretive and learning community. It is a pedagogy developed by the possibilities of establishing a critique of social systems and by the opening of person to new worlds. The "expertise" is dimensioned as "knowing what" and "knowing why".

For all this, The UITC is involved in several types of actions:

• Organization of international meetings: The exchange of international experience in training of social leaders, civic training conducted both in the universities, popular education movements and ngos. Creation of creative moments, valuing different knowledge, fostering a real presence of persons and dialogue for change.
• On-line and on-campus training: Support for dynamic training in the four continents on various topics.
• Research: The construction of new knowledge and useful references for training, mobilizing Case Studies in Multiple Dimensions (ECADIM) on various strategic issues and proposal papers.
• Diffusion: free publications, workshops, roundtables, forums, etc.
